A real bobbi dazzler of a match for 3 of our Willows players on Friday 15th Aug for GMCL U13s Interleague vs Liverpool & District U13s Girls, as they won by just ONE run!
Fantastic innings from Aneesa Jan 2nd highest scorer with 32 runs, Poppy Davies 10 not out and Elise Platt with 6, as GMCL Girls finished on 141/8.
Liverpool required 142 to win, GMCL Girls determined in their bowling attack and confidence in the field, Wythenshawe’s girls all making valuable contributions and getting in on the action, Aneesa taking 3 great catches, Poppy with 2 wickets & a run out, Elise taking one wicket too - as GMCL Girls bowled Liverpool & District all out for 140 runs in 28.5 overs!
What a tense end to a brilliant match by all girls on both teams.
Game was played at Roe Green CC, where everyone received great hospitality on a hot sunny day for all the parents and families taking a day out to support the development of the girls.
Huge thanks must go to coach Jeannie Platt and her Willows support team, for all their hardwork and dedication in bringing the girls though each stage of the pathway.

On Thursday 14th Aug, Willows Hannah Bolton and Daisy Ginder were brilliant in the U15s GMCL game - both bowling superbly and winning by 2 runs!
