What a fantastic day some of our All Stars & Junior boys and girls had today Sat 5th July, at Emirates Old Trafford for the T20 Blast Double fixture day for Lancs Thunder (Women) and Lancs Lightning (Men)
After having been invited by Lancashire Cricket Foundation to perform not one but BOTH of the Guards of Honour, we were left having to pull names out of a hat for the All Stars, as we could only take 16 for each GoH, and had a whopping 60 All Stars signed up this season!
Our All Stars really enjoyed the experience and just loved being escorted onto the field by Lanky the Giraffe.
Afterwards (after a long rain delay) they sat & watched Lancs Thunder beat Essex.
For the afternoon’s match GoH, we had a combination of juniors & youth boys & girls, they also had a brilliant time performing the official Guard of Honour, welcoming both teams onto the field of play - flying the flag for Wythenshawe perfectly!
All the children & their families had an amazing day today, thank you as always to Lancashire Cricket Foundation for recognising all the tremendous work done by Wythenshawe Cricket Club in our community, huge thanks must go to Jeannie & Tracy for organising & pulling everything together once again - we all had a wonderful day.
