It’s been a week of triumphs for Wythenshawe CC as our Willows Girls U11s team went through to the ECB U11s Softball Semi Final after a brilliant 73 run victory over our good friends Roe Green CC U11s Girls at home Longley Lane on Tuesday night.
Willows batting first scoring 114/1 (net score 134) great innings from Abbie Weatherhead-Faza with 16 runs & Poppy Davies scoring 11.
Roe Green in reply faced some inspired & accurate bowling from the Willows, all girls bowling 2 overs each in rotation, wickets from Niamh Warner (1) Harriet Wright (1) & Aneesa Jan (2)
Roe Green finished on 56/4 (net score 61)
Great to see both teams joining together for a team photo & encouraging each other, both clubs really working hard to develop our girls sections.
Thank you to Ben for scoring & all the parents for the great support for all the girls.
Well done Willows U11s & coach Jeannie Platt.
