Wythenshawe CC Midweek XI picked up the South Mcr Casual Cricket League Trophy Shield on Mon 5th July vs STARS.
Wythenshawe batting first had our opening pair Matt Taylor & Byron McGuigan both retiring not out after reaching their 50’s.
Wythenshawe going on to finish on 173/8
In reply STARS had a brilliant game, giving a really good account of themselves, some lovely cricket played by both teams tonight, STARS just falling short of the target set,
finishing on 138/10
Well done Wythenshawe CC, thanks Sam Curtis & Tom Green for scoring tonight & to everyone who came along to support.
Special mention to the organisers of this competition, in warmly welcoming us into the fold this season, we’ve definitely made many more cricket friends than enemies over the past few weeks.
Thanks to Cheadle Hulme CC for hosting & for the great food after the game.
Well done Wythenshawe CC
