3 days into this week & 3 wins recorded so far for our junior cricket teams! & the 2nd for our Willows squads.
Tonight it was the turn of our Willows Girls U13s as they hosted Lindow CC U13s Girls, here at Longley Lane for their Cheshire Women’s League Softball Cricket match.
Wythenshawe Willows batting first, set off confidently, ticking the runs over nicely, lots of lovely placed shots from all the girls pairings tonight, innings ended on 102/4 off 16 (282 net)
Lindow gave good chase & once again we saw some lovely, competitive cricket played by all the girls from both teams.
Willows bowlers just with the edge tonight, as the visitors finished on 87/6 off 16 (257 net)
Willows U13s the winners by 25 runs.
Thank you to Lindow for coming over to Longley Lane, for a game played in the spirit of cricket.
Well played Willows….what a great start to the season.
