Finally after a few weeks of close run or tied matches our youngest traditional cricket team Wythenshawe U9’s Wizards got that illusive victory away tonight at neighbours Cheadle CC.
Wizards won the toss & batted first (pairs cricket starts at 200) scoring 86/7 off their 16 overs (265 net)
Double figures & solid batting for Zayn Jan (25) Rory Evans (16) & Simeon Kotzé (10)
In reply Cheadle kept up the pace taking the game right to the very last ball, remember runs are deducted for wickets lost, both teams scored 86 runs but due to Wythenshawe taking one more wicket our boys tipped the balance winning by just 3 runs!! Cheadle (262 net)
